CONSTRUCTION

ELE's experienced project leaders with their broad construction knowledge set it apart from other on-hire agencies.

Supplying carpenters, painters, crane operators, ceiling fixers through to general labour on site, we have the people and the expertise for every project. Our trade qualified workers bring tools fit for purpose and have the necessary training and qualifications for the roles they are assigned to.

ELE also engages experienced workers from abroad who bring skills, experience and diversity to each project, while local talent is developed through training and exposure on the large number of commercial and major residential projects ELE is involved with throughout New Zealand.

CIVIL

Working with some of New Zealand's largest local and national civil contracting companies including specialist niche businesses, ELE deploys technical and non-technical workers in a range of roles from construction and engineering through to plant, machine, excavator, truck and trailer, roller and grader operators.

Traffic control workers from Level 1 to STMS are also widely deployed to set up and safely direct traffic on client work sites.

ELE draws on a wealth of knowledge with field coordinators who are highly experienced working in the civil construction space on projects of any scale.

When it comes to strategic thinking and business excellence, not many people top Brett’s experience and results to date. Not one to get overly flustered, Brett goes about his day in a calm methodical manner with regular outbreaks of laughter, so there’s no questioning his nickname “Chuckles”. But if you need your thinking challenged, he’s the man for the job.

VICKY MULHOLLAND

DIRECTOR FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION

Vicky deals with multiple things at any one time, with a unique humour that only she understands - but it works for her and fortunately it seems to instil confidence in those she deals with. Vicky oversees all aspects of ELE Group finance and administration and has a keen eye on improving efficiencies within the wider business.

JOHN GOULD

DIRECTOR & NATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

John's jovial personality makes him approachable to staff and contractors and his attentive eye on compliance and health and safety ensures the business units operate to the highest professional standards. With a background in the trades, he brings a practical bent to his decision making with a humour only tradies truly get; hence the rest of the team just say 'yeah, Jonny'.

JADE SANDVOSS

PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO MANAGING DIRECTOR

Calm and methodical, quietly spoken with an element of grace necessary for handling the demands of her role, best describe Jade. They say when you need something done give it to a busy person, but when you need lots of things done, Jades the person every team needs.

It's a rare day that Annette enters a room and people don't smile, as her enthusiastic and encouraging manner lifts the spirit in everyone. Inbetween deep conversations, she does provide some great admin support to the team, occasionally sneaking outside for a quick ciggie.

They say research and development is key to business success. Steve does this from his iPad each morning in between Facebook and the news. All this before disappearing to the local cafe for the ritual bacon and eggs. As unconventional as that may all seem, his wisdom is invaluable.

KASEY YOUDVALD

ADMINISTRATION INTERN

While new to the workforce, she's already making her mark as a fresh, talented and resourceful administration assistant. Keen to develop and grow her career, Kasey works closely with the Head Office team but has also been seen on the ops front helping out.

STEPH RADERMACHER

ACCOUNTS / PAYROLL

One of the most important roles in the business is making sure workers are paid on time. This is something Steph does with great efficiency and accuracy, more easily said than done when you have hundreds of workers on dozens of sites every day. Steph carries out many other office admin functions, always with a smile.

Whether its advice on business strategy or finance we need, Denise is always there with a smile but has been noticed on a few occasions to growl just quietly. While some think she may be holidaying in her bunker on Waiheke Island, we think she may have decided to reside where there is poor cell phone coverage.

With a keen eye on the next opportunity and a knack for developments and construction Paul is always there to lend a hand when needed. Not quite as good looking as the older brother, he generally makes up for it with his flair in the kitchen which no one would argue, is impressive.

A man with many talents, from offshore management of large factories to a technical trade cert. Craig now finds himself sitting on the advisory board of ELE contributing to the group's broader strategic plan and trying to keep us all focused as ‘Chair’. When we can’t get hold of him, there’s a good chance he’s cruising in his campervan and out of coverage… Or so he says!

HEALTH, SAFETY & ACC ADVISOR

Marty has this great lifestyle at The Mount where few people know his whereabouts, but when he is needed - no matter where in the country - he's like batman on a mission. His thorough understanding of health and safety keeps ELE focused and engaged while his passion for ACC compliance still has us baffled.

Todd's a hands-on, get-it-done guy who brings a calm, methodical approach to client and worker engagement. When it comes to dealing with people, Todd enjoys good old fashioned face to face contact, but much to his displeasure, his phone is relentless but nevertheless always switched on.

Direct and professional with a no-nonsense manner, Aaron excels in his role dealing with the constant and challenging labour supply demands of our clients' many construction and civil worksites. A fitness program most would dread as he wanders site to site talking to and motivating our workers while at the same time giving clients a hassle-free peace of mind service that they can depend on.

A blend of determination, passion and just a get on with it attitude is why most people say "holy smoke who was that" - but it's what separates Jo from most. Delivering a service that her clients simply rave about is what she thrives on. Forget the fact she's played semi-professional basketball in the USA, has sons who compete at the highest level in boxing and softball, Jo fits it all in. A time management guru!

Known for her calm and steady hand in operations and a soothing demeanour, Kara has an absolute no nonsense approach when things aren't going as they should be. Kara is like the steady rudder that every good ship needs, always making sure the "I" is dotted and the "T" is crossed. A real people person with a passion for excellence.

Able to get on with everyone and never shy of a challenge, this young man possesses unique talent and abilities which under the ELE Cadetship Programme will be professionally honed. A member of the Junior Black Sox for two world series, we recently released him from the ELE team to play Softball in the USA for a few months. ELE sees this as crucial in his continued development personally and professionally.

Always calm, well presented and hanging out for the next task. When it's reliability and efficiency you need to get those administration jobs done, Tara is your girl.

PROJECT COORDINATOR

With three decades of interior project management experience on some of the largest commercial sites in NZ and abroad, Branko knows how to get the best from his team and the best for his clients. He has a no-nonsense approach and an accent you will eventually get used to. But don't ask him to smile for the camera.

Another softball legend, Thomas represented the Black Sox in numerous world series wins, is the current coach of the Junior Black Sox and is now leader of the Civil team for ELE. Always measured, calm and sometimes hard to read behind those dark shades, he's never short of a winning formula. Thomas is constantly on the hunt for the best crew to represent his team and some of the largest civil operators in the region.

When you just want a matter of fact, no-nonsense, no-stress, just-results approach, Aaron's your man. 'Hours in a day, what are they?' says Aaron. You just do what you have to do. We're certain diesel has contaminated his veins because when it comes to high standards, no one in the history of man has maintained a company vehicle as meticulously as he does.

Mike gives the impression it's all under control and most times, believe it or not, it is; although the admin department may beg to differ sometimes. While relatively new to our industry, Mike has already made some great inroads and is successfully helping to grow our Wellington business!

New to the industry and heavy transport sector, Sean has decided that the family business is actually not a bad place to be.
